Dutch Open 2016 marked another year of Good Will and Charity Spirit of the Dutch Business Community and Partners in Vietnam

On Friday, November 25th, the Dutch Business Association in Vietnam (DBAV) hosted their 3rd annual charity golf tournament on the fairways at Song Be Golf Course. 16 teams competed in the tournament while clinic session welcomed 20 beginners. With such perfect golf weather, the day was without doubt another unforgettable experience.

The ambience, charitable donations and organization of the event were possible thanks to the enthusiasm of all participants and the support of various sponsors, namely, The Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, Royal HaskoningDHV, Air France KLM, De Heus, Fugro, Heineken, Peja, Vietnammm.com together with many other in-kind donors and marketing partners.

On-course challenges like the longest drive and blind putting competition certainly added extra excitement and a unique touch to the event.

The day closed with a cheerful Gala Dinner. Marcel Hassink, Chairman of DBAV, began by thanking all sponsors and participants for their charitable spirit in being strong Dutch Open supporters year after year. The evening continued with the award ceremony, raffles winners’ announcement and a successful live auction where generosity was shown in the liveliest way.
Ha Viet and Luong Thi Quynh Lan, representatives from this year’s beneficiary charities: MCNV and Eye Care Foundation respectively, shared with all participants their inspiring works in Vietnam and enthusiasm in bringing support to the further horizons.
Returning next November, Dutch Open looks forward to bringing an even better experience to its participants.
