On July 24, 2026, MCNV had the honor of welcoming a delegation of students from Harvard University as part of the HGHI-BIDMC Vietnam Student Summer Elective 2026.

Co-organized by the Harvard Global Health Institute (HGHI) and HAIVN (The Partnership for Health Advancement in Vietnam), the delegation included eight undergraduate and graduate students specializing in Public Health, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, and Chemistry.
During the exchange, MCNV representatives walked the students through our 58-year history in Vietnam, highlighting our long-standing work in disability support and local rehabilitation workforce development. A key focus of the presentation was the project “Improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in provinces heavily sprayed with Agent Orange”—funded by the U.S. Government and owned by the National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment (NACCET).
The presentation focuses on MCNV’s disability support projects and rehabilitation capacity-building initiatives.
The interactive session provided the Harvard students with a realistic, ground-level perspective on how an international NGO operates, secures funding, and executes sustainable development programs in Vietnam.
